My Mission Statement

I write to serve, to unite, to educate. I write to share literature and flesh out ideas that may be of interest to others. I write to document an emotion, experience, or a blip in time. My mission is to write in such a way that the reader is reminded that we can find humor in all situations. It's one of the great blessings of life.

Great Kids

I've been such a worrywart lately, and I've finally had an 'aha' moment. Unnecessary worrying robs me of the present. I don't know why I've felt so on edge lately, but I have. Hmmmm... probably hormones like everything else. Anyway, my psychologist friend told me something great today. He said: Let the outside world present the problems to your child. Parents should help them find solutions. In other words, it's not my job to prevent problems or head them off or even emphasize them to teach the kids a lesson. It's only my job to wait with loving arms to help them work things out. Just wanted to share that little pearl of wisdom with you.
