Welcome to ChitChat. I am the mother of four children and a writer of children's literature trying to make sense of it all. Join me as we talk about family, children, education, current events and GREAT BOOKS!
My Mission Statement
I write to serve, to unite, to educate. I write to share literature and flesh out ideas that may be of interest to others. I write to document an emotion, experience, or a blip in time. My mission is to write in such a way that the reader is reminded that we can find humor in all situations. It's one of the great blessings of life.

Hey, darling, why weren't YOU on one of those committees? Thanks for the nice words. :)
Still marveling that I own the Caldecott winner already, from way back in Feb when we roomed together in NY.
This is actually for Sara (hope I'm not breaching any rules set forth by the Blogger Etiquette Panel)Sara, I don't know if you read other people's comments after you've posted your own, but just in case you do: I'd add your book to that list too. I loved it and so did my daughter (she got an A+ on the book report she did on it.) Just wanted you to know -- Diane
Thanks, Diane. That totally makes my day! Hugs to your daughter, too.
