Both my daughters went to camp this summer, and my husband always says that every penny is worth it because the letters are so hilarious. A few lines cannot possible capture how funny these letters are, but I'm going to try to share some of them with you.
The following lines are from actual letters from camp.
"How's my phone?"
"Either I've gotten bigger or the bunks have gotten smaller because this year the bottom bunk is tiny."
"Can you please, please, please send me some superglue or gorilla glue right away?" (that was the ENTIRE letter--we sent the glue)
"If I don't write for a few days I'm probably busy so don't freak out."
"Do you know those tan pocket things? Can you send me something in one?" (she's talking about a mailing envelope)
"I've made friends with the person who takes picture for camp, so maybe you'll see me on the website soon."
"I saw Hannah (her sister). I hugged her and kissed her and embarrassed her in front of all her friends."
"I made a friend named Georgia who used to live in Minnesota, but now she lives in North Carolina. Yes, it's hilarious."
"Please send me something in a brownish, orangish large envelope."
"Camp is fun but there isn't anything to say in this letter."
"I would tell you my schedule but we don't have one."
and just so you know, "Thanks for the care package!!" but still...nothing on the glue...wonder what that was about?
Anyway, I start laughing when I see a letter because every one is funny in its own way. We're having a HUGE thunderstorm right now. Gonna run enjoy the show! xox
