Is there a dark cloud over my house?

I'm starting to get nervous. We had a small sleepover for my son's birthday this week-end that resulted in a bloody injury, a bloody nose, and a hurt ankle. Then yesterday, my son bumped his cheek (just below his eye) on the side of the boat, and it swelled up to the size of Rhode Island. It's hardly open this morning so he is, of course, home with me. AND my daughter woke up with two swollen knees (what???) and couldn't stand or even walk to the bathroom this morning. It took a lot of help from me and a lot of time, not to mention her earache. SO if anyone out there is driving by, can you tell me? Is there a dark cloud over my house?

Not to mention my sinus headache that just won't quit. At any rate, I've got lots of writing to do today, editing, and formatting. I'll need my wits about me. OMG, and my dog just came and pooped on the floor beside me! Just now. Okay, this should probably not be in my blog. My apologies.

Did anyone out there see CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS this week-end? All the Koppelmans are just dying to see it. We dug out the book last night and all brainstormed about how the movie could play the story out. I love the rush of children's books into movies in the past few years. BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA and HOW TO EAT FRIED WORMS are two of my favorite adaptations. What books would YOU like to see made into a movie? I would love to see a movie of Jerry Spinelli's MANIAC MAGEE. And OPERATION YES has great movie potential to me, as well. And whatever happened to after school specials? Maybe I'm just a big cornball, but there were a lot of good movies there.
