Wow! My 400th Post Party

Welcome to the party! I'm so thrilled to be here with you to celebrate my 400th post! I have to confess that I've not posted in a few days because I knew it was my 400th! I needed a little extra time to decorate, so please, come on in. And have some champagne! 400 posts should be celebrated, and it's all because of YOU, my dear readers. Champagne? Of course you will.

At the risk of sounding tacky, I want you to know that I've spared no expense for this fabulous party. Hootie and the Blowfish is playing out back, Jack Johnson is in the parlor with his guitar, and a fabulous array of North Carolina seafood is in the dining room, so please, come on in and enjoy!

I'm so thrilled to see what a great time you are all having, and Liz, when you jumped on the stage to sing with Hootie, we all loved it. Chrystal, glad you could come out for the party. Have some more champagne. Vickie, I'm thrilled to see you. Have you tried the crabcakes? Sara, would you say a few words about your new book? And Jody, I'm so thrilled about the progress of your two novels! Congratulations. Please get to know one another. I'm delighted that some of my family has joined us, as well, so introduce yourselves and have fun. Oh, and the Israeli couscous is to die for.

Excuse me, everyone. I'd like to make a toast. (yes, I'll wait for everyone to fill their glasses, of course) For all of you, my readers, who inspire me to get up every morning and write. Thank you for reading. My accountability to you has made all the difference in the improvement of my craft. Thank you, and God bless you.

Well, karaoke is heating up on the porch. I'm in line to sing You Shook Me All Night Long, so that's your fair warning for those of you I might horrify. Gary, thanks for donating your chocolate fountain to the cause. It's delish. Oh, and I'm glad you like the floral arrangements. Thank you to Maureen who donated the hydrangeas. They're fabulous, aren't they?

Sheesh, I need some water. All this excitement...400 blogs. I can't believe it. You guys are the BEST. Truly, I could (and would) have never done it without you. So PLEASE keep reading, tell your friends, and comment sometimes, for goodness sakes! Spread the word and give me feedback. What do you like? What do you hate? What would you like to see here?

xoxox Thanks for coming. I hope you've had as much fun as me. No, I ate too much, as well. Have a wonderful week-end. Thanks for coming. LOVED it, Darius. Jack, I owe you one.

Congrats on all your success! I left a comment on your facebook page about if you ever thought about have your own domain and put your blog there?

I run my own blogging software and really enjoy it. It is a lot more customizable than Blogger I think. I had a blogger account for a while but then went to Word Press. Everything that you have posted is exportable and can be imported into your new blog!

Let me know!

Congratulations, Donna. You're doing good. But now, I want to hear all about JRW. I looked at the home page and it sounds exciting. Did you do a pitch or first pages? Please tell us all about your time there and the panel of experts, from your experience.
