My Mission Statement

I write to serve, to unite, to educate. I write to share literature and flesh out ideas that may be of interest to others. I write to document an emotion, experience, or a blip in time. My mission is to write in such a way that the reader is reminded that we can find humor in all situations. It's one of the great blessings of life.

Feeling Like a Fool

Not like my week wasn't already full enough....today I fell and (I hope) sprained my ankle. I had the x-ray tonight, and I guess I'll find out more tomorrow. The thing is, it hurts like hell. Plus, it's my right foot, my DRIVING foot. I won't even go into the many complications of losing my driving foot. They're far too many to list. And I was totally grouchy to my OM team today which I'm feeling badly about. Maybe I'll call them and apologize.

Anyway, I'm flat on my back, laptop in lap, and foot pounding. I feel like an idiot. I don't have TIME for this. I have a really bad attitude right now. Perhaps I should stop writing.

No no no. You can't stop writing! There are just too many times that I count on this blog to get me grinning/laughing/ready to face my own day!... Sorry about your foot but I'm just thankful it wasn't one of your hands.

Hire yourself a chauffeur; make friends with your local cabbies; bake something special for the bus drivers. But DON'T stop writing or posting!

Oh, Donna, what a crock. You know mothers aren't allowed to be sick, or hurt. I hope you find out right away what the problem is and they can bandage it up or put a cast on it and give you a pain pill. Luckily OM is nearly over. You've already done the major part of the coaching. They'll be fine. Here's their chance to put their creativity and team work to full use. Can't wait to hear what happens to your ankle and OM.

And by the way. I know you are just mouthing off about not writing because you feel so crappy. You are NOT going to quit, so don't even pretend you are.

Even a lady who's known for her humor should be allowed an occasional spell of grouchiness. Sounds like you have good reason to feel bummed today. But you know, we look forward to your witty, funny posts, so hope you feel much better tomorrow. Hang in there, kiddo!

HI Donna!

Hope you're feeling better! Yes, stop writing...but just for a day. The world needs your funny point of view on life!

Regarding your fall...sorry it happened (says the girl who's been ankle deep in ice since November! Trust me...I never walk the dog without my cellphone..if I fell, no one might find me and my white Bichon! HA!)
